Story
****SPECIAL NEEDS ADOPTER NEEDED****Sapphire was adopted from us a kitten. This January (2026) in one of the coldest days of the year, she was found at local farm where she had jumped into a bucket of water. She was brought to the shelter, not only shivering, but as her exam went on, there was so much more. She was severely dehydrated, under weight (6 lbs) and malnourished, and with a back leg limp, that was an old fracture that has long since healed. We called the person that had adopted her and they told us they had given her away, then a relative called stating they had had her, but then rehomed her last year. When asked who, they did not know, she had been given to some one who had responded to a social media post in regards to them looking to rehome her (keep in mind, we always take our animals back, no one had reached out). We ran blood work and it wasn`t great to say the least. She went into foster care to get her back on track medically. Sapphire was a loving girl from the start, taking fluids and testing like a champ. She is currently in early stages of kidney disease but her bloodwork this past month was awesome. But, this now 11 lb sweet girl needs to keep on Hill`s Science Diet K/D to keep her as healthy as she can be. We know the food is costly, but it is keeping her healthy and happy. She needs a special person to give this girl a forever home!

Story
Smokey is 4 years old and looks like a very dark seal-point Siamese. He loves attention from humans and is very sweet-tempered. His previous owner died and I adopted him, but living alone his first 4 years and being attached to 1 person is so ingrained in him that he really needs to be the only pet. (He feels other cats are competition and danger.) He does not need expensive foods, but loves (Purina) kibble and (Fancy Feast) wet food. He doesn't like to play with toys, just needs a devoted human. Finally, he is up to date on shots and rabies vaccine into 2027. SORRY, I don't have a smartphone to upload a photo! (But my description of an almost black Siamese seal point is very accurate.)

Story
Meet Fozzie! This blue eyed beauty came to TCR from an overcrowded situation very thin and in need of some extra love and TLC. Initially Fozzie was very fearful but he has made tremendous progress already in foster with some time, patience, churu treats, and the companionship of other playful feline friends. Fozzie continues to open up and show parts of his sweet personality every day. He is very curious and very playful! He highly enjoys spring toys, crinkle balls, and wrestling/running around with a feline playmate. Fozzie gets along very well with other cats, especially his fellow foster mate Old Spice- they love to zoom around the room and wrestle together! He can be very "chirpy" when he is feeling playful and excited with his cat friends- it is adorable! Fozzie wants to be a lovebug but is still learning how. He loves pet and chin scritches- sometimes it feels so good he can't help but flop over onto his back. He has frequent moments where he purrs and stretches out with his eyes closed in bliss but will still startle with loud noises or quick movements (he recovers quickly). He does not enjoy being picked up. He would benefit greatly from a confident resident cat to welcome him home. He has not met a dog in foster but likely would not do well with one. Older, cat savvy children that know he needs time to adjust would be ok. Fozzie is estimated to be 3 years old. He is neutered, flea treated, dewormed, microchipped, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Apply for this sweet boy today!

Story
Zaza is a stunning blue-eyed girl who would love to be the center of attention in your home! At 8 years old, she's the perfect mix of kitten energy and adult sensibility. Zaza is a girl with hobbies-- she enjoys birdwatching, staying hydrated, and napping. She keeps herself busy then will happily greet you at the door after a long day of work. She's not much of a lap cat, but she's happy to sit next to you for pets! Zaza reportedly played and cuddled with the dogs in her last home. She'd likely do well living with dogs again with proper introductions.

Story
As part of the Golden Girls trio, the glamorous Blanche is a simple girl that wants nothing more than a solid pet session (and maybe some Churu) from her humans. She’ll brush up against you and even grab your hand to place it on her head for more scritches. While in foster, she spends most of her time lounging in her comfy spot but has slowly opened up and started to play with toys. She’s easy to pick up but not much of a lap cat just yet! With time, we think she’ll continue to build confidence, and her sweet and affectionate personality will come out even more. Miss Blanche is fairly shy and startles easily. For this reason, she should go to a home with cat savvy adults and older children. She seems hesitant of the resident senior dog and would probably do best in a home without a dog or a calm one that respects boundaries. Similarly, she could do well as a solo cat or with a friendly resident cat. Blanche is estimated to be around 1 year old. She is spayed, flea treated, dewormed, vaccinated, microchipped and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Unlike the TV show’s character, this feline Blanche is not on the hunt for men, but rather for her forever family! Apply for this classy lady today!
