Story
Fig is the best! Very shy at first, then becomes snuggle buddy. Very quiet, expressive. He is looking for a new home only because his big brother is a jerk and has been picking on Fig. His brother doesn’t get along with other humans, so finding him a new home is unlikely. Fig weighs 18lbs, plays catch and will sleep at your feet.

Story
A couple weeks ago a beautiful sweet cat appeared outside our door. It was apparently lost. Trying to relocate the cat with its owner, we posted photo and description on local social media and received 160 responses. Sadly, the cat was not claimed. In the meantime, we took the cat to a Vet for scanning, health check up, and treatment of potential problems. No ID chip was found. Rabies vaccine was given, plus flea, tick, and parasite topical was applied. The neutered 2 year-old male is FIV+ and Leukemia - (neg). The Vet said that the cat is VERY HEALTHY and vigorous. It is BEAUTIFUL! VERY SWEET and well trained, VERY OBEDIENT as well. Follows us around like a pet dog and follows commands. We are unable to keep a pet, just wanted to reunite the cat with its owner and care for it temporarily. We will provide the food and supplies that we bought as well as $100 gift to assist an adoptor. This animal is special and really deserves good home.

Story
When we first learned about Frankie, he went by the name Grammie. The neighbor had been feeding "her" and she was moving away. Worried about the fate of the sweet cat, she connected with area rescues. No one had room and one rescue even refused to intake her BECAUSE of her (assumed) age.  We agreed to help BECAUSE of her age. Wr dodnt find a new home and the good Samritan eventually moved away and took Grammie with her. She later found out that "Grammie" was actually a "Grampy" and later named him Frankie. It has been a year and he never did settle into their chaotic lifestyle. She wrote us today to ask that we help find him the right home. This is what she had to say: "Over a yr ago I took in the neighbors cats after he passed away. I was moving and there was no one left to feed them. They are older cats and use to a quiet life. One cat settle in fine. But one has struggled. He is the sweetest guy ever. Unfortunately he is scared of everything. He won’t fight my cats but he hides and won’t come out. He was hiding in a little cave thing that was part of a cat tree. He wasn’t eating or drinking. So I started taking him wet food and a coffee cup of water. I finally moved him to a bedroom that I was remodeling for my granddaughter. The cat is named Frankie. He comes out of his hiding spot in the room. He seems content. I’ve brought him out to the living room several times and he trembles. He has cat trees in there. And he doesn’t climb them. He don’t claw any thing. He uses the litter box. He likes to lay by a person. He likes to rub his head on your head. Frankie is about 10 yrs old . He is neutered.. he becomes over stressed around other cats, small kids, and small and big dogs. Oh and although he is to go outside on his dads porch when he was alive, he does not want to go outside. This is not the home for him. I feel I have created a relationship with him. And I love him so much. But he is not getting what he needs here. His life should not be spent on a bedroom with me going in there when I can to live in him. (He is feed and water twice a day) so I want better for him. He is the best little guy. I’m not sure how old he is but with Daphne the Humane Society vet said he was about 10 yrs old. So I’m guessing he is about that age. He is healthy. I think if he ever got comfortable where he lived he would go outside, like on the porch. He use to stay on my neighbors porch."   Please text us at 352-843-6858 for the link to an adoption application  ##2483349##
