Story
Hi There! My name is Squishy Teddy, I'm an 9 pound (kinda skinny right now), 6 year old neutered male terrier / poodle / maltese mix of sorts who is a whole bunch of cuteness. I'm a super sweet guy with a very gentle disposition who loves to cuddle, go on walks, play ball, & eat treats. I'm very food motivated & I know a bunch of commands like sit, shake, & come of which of course you will reward me with a treat! I even sometimes walks on my two hind legs & have done a turn around while doing so, but it was not on command, I just did it on my own! I arrived at the shelter a matted mess, so I'm still a little sensitive when you try to groom my face. My foster mama gives me a few extra treats when my beard is brushed and that sure helps! I sure like (you could even say love) other dogs and I'm super friendly and sociable, and bonus, I get along with cats as well. I can be verbal at times & will bark at knocks at the door or strangers coming over but that's what dogs do and it's nothing out of the norm for us doggies. I settle down once the excitement of a new guest is in the home, and then I want to be near them. I've been very respectful of my indoor + outdoor space & has not chewed anything that was not my toys or my treats. I've also have had zero potty accidents at my foster's home and even when she's been away for a while, I'm so chill and lounge and wait til she gets home to go outside to potty! Pretty fabulous, right? Because I'm so social & I really love other dogs, I would probably do well in a home where there is another fur sibling and/or have frequent play dates with doggie friends. Because of my size I would do best in a home with older children. Underdogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. Adoption fee is $380. You MUST have an Underdogs Rock Rescue application on file to request a meet with an Underdog. An online Underdogs Rock adoption application can only be accessed at https://underdogsrock.org/adopt-a-dog . Dogs are not held for applicants or shipped outside of the Portland metro area. Home checks are also part of the process and will be conducted virtually.
