Story
Meet Bubbles! In her short 2½ years, Bubbles has already experienced far too much change, including multiple homes and living with cats who weren’t very kind to her. Because of this, she’s searching for a truly committed, experienced adopter who understands the importance of stability, patience, and letting trust grow at her pace.If you’re interested in Bubbles, please read the information below to be sure you’re able to meet her specific needs and help her finally settle into the safe, loving home she deserves.Bubbles is a one-of-a-kind 2.5-year-old Sphynx with big opinions, big energy, and an Olympic-level love for treats. This sweet, silly girl bonds closely with her person and lives for cozy time—especially snuggling under the covers like a tiny, warm gremlin. She comes when called, happily gives “kisses” when asked, and will absolutely steal your heart.Because she’s sensitive, Bubbles needs a calm, adult-only home where she can be the only cat. Sudden movements can spook her, she doesn’t enjoy being picked up, and she may bite, scratch, or grab at moving shapes under blankets when unsure or overstimulated. An experienced cat person who understands feline body language, and giving space when needed is essential. She may also cry at the door when left alone, so she’d do best with someone who’s home often. Once she feels safe, she loves hopping into a lap, kneading away, and soaking up affection on her own terms.Despite her sass, Bubbles is wonderfully cooperative for care—nail trims, eye cleaning, and general spa maintenance are no problem as long as a Churu is involved! A note about Bubbles’ bathroom routine (aka her very specific preferences):Bubbles has some quirky but manageable potty habits (urine only). She eats CD prescription food and prefers to urinate on a pee pad placed just outside her litter box. A patient, detail-oriented adopter who can keep her routine consistent—and laugh a little along the way—will help her thrive.Bubbles also has mild entropion in her left eye and receives an over-the-counter eye drop twice daily. Our vet said no further treatment is needed at this time, though surgery may be recommended in the future. With patience, structure, and lots of love (and treats), Bubbles will blossom into a deeply devoted companion who thrives on feeling safe, secure, and adored. If you’re a seasoned cat person with a sense of humor, a big heart, and no other kitties, Bubbles might
