Story
How gorgeous she is! Mango is her name, and she’s a 70 pound, 4-year-old mix of Great Pyr and St. Bernard. A truly lovely girl, her temperament is excellent as is obvious when you watch her with one of our other dogs, Quinn, her daughter. Mango is loving, quiet, shy at first and very calm. You might say she’s a slow mover, too. And she loves bones and cuddling! We think Mango is absolutely wonderful! (posted 6/16/26, ME) ' 'Adoption Fee: $395.00-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. Transport Fee: $170.00-- We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. **July 17, 2026, 4:16 pm

Story
I didn't delete my account after getting my final dog and Roscoe popped up as a match. Frankie gave me a sob story of being out of work, needing shoulder surgery and a neighbor threatening to harm Rosco. This was early November, I was lead the believe by Christmas or New Year everything would be worked out. Right from the beginning there were problems, Roscoe wasn't accustomed to the city noises around my apartment. If he got spooked he wanted to go inside even if he wasn't finished with outside business. This did cause a few accidents. He is protective and will let me know when someone comes in down stairs by barking. He thinks he should be a lap dog despite his size. He will give kisses till you make him stop. He isn't interested in my cat and loves playing with my dogs. He's deathly afraid of the spray bottle. He now knows move/get off, leave it, get out of a room and let's go. By his behavior I think he had to struggle to survive before he was taken in,he is always hungry an thirsty

Story
Every great story has a character you'll think about after you've turned the last page. At Two by Two Rescue, his name is Potter. The lone survivor of his litter, bottle-fed around the clock. Then adoption day arrived, and everyone believed the hardest chapter was behind him. But Potter found his way back to the rescue when the family who loved him could no longer keep him. The remarkable part? Potter hasn't let disappointment steal an ounce of his joy. A splash in the creek. A trail to explore. A car ride with his head out the window, feeling the breeze. If you're adventuresome, he's convinced he is part of the plan. When it's time to wind down, this balanced player is just as happy leaning in for ear scratches, hugs, and simply being by your side. Together is his favorite place to be! Would do well as your single best buddy or alongside other socially neutral dogs. He's waiting to hear, "Come on, Potter... let's go home!" If your story has room for an unforgettable character, Potter is ready for his best chapter yet! Birthdate is 4/29/24, adoption fee $300.00. Adoption fee includes vaccines up to date, parasite prevention, neuter, and microchip.

Story
Meet Linus, a four-month-old pup who wants to put in his application to be your dog’s best friend.  Like his namesake from Charlie Brown needs his security blanket, our Linus needs his security dog. He would be absolutely lost without another dog in the home, and so we are searching for a forever home with at least one other dog in it. But the more the merrier for Linus.  Linus is absolutely fearless around other dogs, but he is very shy around new people. Linus likely had very little human socialization until he was caught at about 10 weeks old. He is currently being showered with human love and attention in his foster home, and he is making great progress. He enjoys being petted and doesn’t mind a cuddle session every now and then. But he would always rather cuddle with his doggy friends.  Linus is well mannered and very smart. Any hint that a treat might be coming his way and he sits down before you even give the command. He loves to play fetch with his best doggy friend, which basically involves her playing fetch and him running along side her and trying to steal the ball. He also enjoys chasing his own tail. He’ll go round and round in circles until he catches it. His puppy antics will make you smile.  Linus is a mix of Bernese Mountain Dog, various terriers (Staffordshire and Pitbull) and retrievers (Golden and Labrador), as well as some poodle and a few other breeds, according to his breed test. The test predicted his full grown weight could be anywhere from 50 to 80 lbs., but we think he’ll be on the smaller end of that spectrum. He was approximately four months old as of early July. He is potty trained and crate trained. Linus is a special boy, and we hope someone will give him a chance to blossom in their home. If your dog needs a best friend, Linus is more than up to the challenge. If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.cognitoforms.com/DixieGirl1/PetAdoptionApplicationForm2 Most of our are pets are fostered in Southern foster homes and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel.
