Story
Remi is 1 year 3 months old, 130 pounds. She has been to puppy training, house trained, and crate trained. She can sit, lay, stay, come when called, heel, and leash trained, Unfortunately Remi has started resource guarding with our other dogs. We have spoke with our Vet and this is common with this age and breed of dog. With additional training she should be able to work through this behavoir. Out of growing concern for our other 2 small dogs we believe it would be best if she was in a only dog home. She has been fine around dogs outside of our home (big or small), she often lays down to greet them. She has never been around small kids but has always been very friendly to anyone she meets. She has a very sweet and funny personality. Couch potato most of the time. She is still young so spurts of puppy energy is to be expected. Best if you have time and room for a XL breed. Continued training would be recommended as she is not done growing. She is up to date on all shots.

While she might be a bit shy at first, her delightful personality shines brightly as she forms strong connections with those who shower her with love. Don’t miss your chance to welcome this beautiful girl into your home!ADOPTION FEE: LOCAL $100 NON-LOCAL $140All dogs receive at least 1 distemper/parvo and Bordetella vaccine. If possible a heartworm test will be done and if negative the dog will be started on heartworm prevention. All animals receive a flea and parasite prevention/treatment and will be microchipped.All animals can go home the same day as adoption. We will need your photo ID and you will sign some documents. Adopters will also receive a copy of the animal's medical history to date. We do not do an application process. All adoptions are first come, first serve. We do not offer holds.We do not require in most cases that adopters bring all their families members and dogs for a meet and greet. But we do highly encourage it. We are happy to introduce the new dog to your dog(s) at the shelter. No appointment necessary.We do offer home trials of dogs over 6 months of age for about a week. You will not need to pay the adoption fee (spay neuter deposit) ahead of time, but if you decide to adopt you will need to return to the shelter to complete the paperwork and pay the adoption deposit. If you do not wish to complete the adoption, you can bring the dog back at any time during normal business hours during your home trial period. We do not allow after hours drop off.
