Champ is a gentle giant searching for a home to call his own. Champ and Mia were found abandoned together after the passing of their owner. When Mia's microchip led them back to us, we learned more about their situation and welcomed both dogs into our care. The kind person who found them cared for them temporarily, but was unable to keep them long-term due to an upcoming medical procedure. At around 3½ years old, Champ is a big, handsome boy. We suspect he may be a Saint Bernard or Mastiff mix, but as always, your guess is as good as ours. What we do know is that he's a friendly, easygoing dog who enjoys the simple things in life. Champ is much more laid-back than his companion Mia. He's happiest spending time with his people, soaking up attention, and enjoying good company. While he's been friendly with everyone he's met, it's clear that the transition to shelter life has been a little harder on him. He misses having a home and a routine of his own. Champ is good with other dogs, house-trained, crate-trained, and ready to settle back into family life. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will happily share your couch, your yard, and your everyday moments, Champ would love to meet you.
