Athena's story is one of resilience and recovery. When she first came into rescue, she was severely malnourished and suffering from fungal skin infections. With proper veterinary care, good nutrition, and plenty of love, her health is now back on track and those issues are well under control.  Beyond her recovery, Athena is an incredibly affectionate, gentle soul who is easy to love and would make a wonderful addition to a family. She forms deep bonds with her people and is devoted to those she cares about, always keeping a quiet, watchful eye on her loved ones.Athena has a calm, easygoing personality that makes her a pleasure to be around. She is responsive, respectful, and eager to please-qualities that have made her a quick learner and a trusting companion. She walks nicely on a leash, walk by your side, knows 'sit,' and enjoys working with her people. She love a car ride to. Eager to jump in.  As a Saint Bernard, Athena embodies many of the traits the breed is known for: loyalty, gentleness, patience, and a loving, family-oriented nature. True to her breed, she also adores snuggling and would be happiest curled up beside her favorite humans after a day of adventures. Athena is the kind of dog who brings a sense of comfort and companionship wherever she goes.  All our animals are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested, microchipped, and current on vaccinations and preventatives.
