Story
Say hello to Wall-E (b. 11/2022), a St. Bernard mix.  He has two speeds, play and snuggle.  Wall-E is okay with cats and enjoys playing with his foster dad's cats.  He hasn't been around other dogs much, so we're not sure how he would do.  He has made tremendous progress working on his manners, but will benefit from ongoing training.  Wall-E is vocal and won't hesitate to tell you how he feels about something.  He would do best in an active and patient environment.  He needs a home with a fenced yard.  Can you be his furever family and provide the love and training he needs? The suggested adoption donation for Wall-E is $400. Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals.  In 2021 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $307,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver.  Alter Agreement:  If the dog or cat you adopt is older than 6 months of age and not spayed or neutered, you will receive a voucher to alter the pet at Val Verde Animal Hospital in Omaha, at no cost to you.  Or you can alter the pet at your own vet and be reimbursed $80 for dogs, and $50 for cats, of total cost.  If the dog or cat is younger than 6 months of age, adopter will be responsible for the cost of altering the pet at the vet of their choice.  If proof of alter is received by Muddy Paws prior to the pet turning 6 months of age, a reimbursement of $80 for dogs, and $50 for cats, will be sent to you to help cover expenses. All puppies and kittens MUST be spayed or neutered by 6 months of age.  All dogs and cats MUST be spayed or neutered no later than one month after adoption is finalized. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.  To learn about Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue or donate to our animals, please visit our website at MuddyPawsSecondChanceRescue.com or our Facebook Page Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue Inc. ##1645107##

Story
Hi, Rose here! Contrary to popular belief I’m actually from the South, but some may think I’m from St. Olaf Minnesota. My new furry roomies are nothing like Blanche and Dorothy, one acts more like Sophia with me. She gets pretty feisty when I invade her bubble, but I guess she’s teaching me a thing or two about life. I love late night pup treats and when my foster dad works strange hours, my furry foster siblings and I always hash out our life problems. I’m learning to potty outside and getting used to my crate, but I hear that’s normal for a girl my age. I’m 12 weeks old, 15 lbs, and a beautiful Anatolian Shepherd mix. I’m looking for a loving forever home where I’m able to be around my fur friends and humans often like a velcro dog. Hopefully I’m not out getting around for too long like Blanche, someone’s gotta tie me down! My adoption donation fee is $400 which covers my spay, microchip, puppy exam, up to date vaccines, etc. They say I’ll make a great addition to one lucky family! To apply for me, you can do so in the drop down menu on our website at: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org/adoption-application We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you.  Thank you for choosing adoption!! May 14, 2024, 9:43 pm

Story
Hey y’all! I’m Dexter! I’m 12 weeks old, 16 lbs, and an Anatolian Shepherd mix. I’m a smart, fun little guy with beautiful eyes. I’m still working on potty training, however, my foster dad gives me treats when I do my business outside and I’m catching on very fast. I’m crate trained now. I love to snuggle, get attention, and follow my people around. I’m very playful and love other dogs and kids. I’m still a pup so I will take some patience, consistency, and basic training as I grow. If I could get a forever home with lots of treats, lots of toys, and a loving human family, my life would be complete. I was born in Oklahoma, but I think I like it up here in Omaha. My foster dad thinks I’m the cutest, best good boy. My adoption donation fee is $400 which includes my neuter, microchip, deworming, puppy exam, and up to date vaccinations.   To apply for me, please go to the drop down menu on our website at: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org/adoption-application We do not have a facility.
