String Bean entered Bonita Shelter as an emaciated, matted stray who was struggling to stand on his own. After he wasn't claimed, we welcomed him as a Frosted Face on January 6th. String Bean is estimated to be 12 years old and weighs 56 lbs. Despite all he's been through, he is a very sweet and friendly boy. String Bean is currently on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we can learn more about him while he enjoys lots of TLC in the comfort of a home. His fling mom shared a great first update: "String Bean (SB) is eating great. He came home and explored the inside and outside of the house. He initially refused all treats, I wonder if he just needed time to settle in. He has eaten great at every meal since. SB is so gentle with our littles. He sniffs them and goes on his way. SB is going on multiple walks a day to hopefully gain some strength back in his back legs. Sometimes he falls and can’t get up and other times he can get himself up. We put out all the rugs we have to help him have more grip on our flooring. SB loves car rides. On our first car ride home, it felt like he kept checking to see if I was there. On our second car ride to and from the park, he could care less about me and was fascinated with looking out the back window."
