In her kennel she likes to bark at us like she is warning us but then you go in and she is like, just kidding, hold me. Oona came from a home with a lot of other small dogs and has done well with the small dogs we've introduced her too. She even did well meeting a large poodle. Oona also loves her snacks and her begging game is spot on! Oona is leash trained and we imagine this girl would absolutely love to snuggle with you. Oona is vaccinated, flea & tick treated, will be microchipped, spayed in Dec and will be tested for Heartworm and Lyme before adoption. Wilma's adoption fee is $250.You can apply on our website www.highlandhumanesociety.org OR stop into the shelter 12- 5 pm Tuesday through Friday or 11 am to 3 pm on Saturday to meet who is available at that time. Please arrive no later than 30 minutes before we close to ensure we have time to do the adoption.Take advantage of our foster-to-adopt program, where you can take any dog 4 mos and older home for a week to make sure it is a good fit before committing to adoption.

This handsome boy was cruelly dumped on a rural road in Owsley County along with his two siblings. Thankfully, we were able to rescue all three, and now it’s Rosco’s turn to find a forever family to call his own. At about a year old and 47 lbs, Rosco is a dream wrapped in a fluffy black and white coat. He’s incredibly sweet with people, craving affection and eager to be by your side. We have found that Rosco needs to be an only dog, but that just means he will have you all to himself! If you’re looking for a loyal companion to share starry nights and cozy couch days, Rosco is ready to be your reason to celebrate this season and beyond.
