Story
Rusty is a great dog but he is nervous of new experiences and situations. He is just seeing a lot of things for the first time in his life and he doesn't know what they are nor how to act around them. His new family is going to need to take it easy with him and teach him that the world is a little scary but mostly wonderful and full of exciting and fun things! Rusty will benefit from intentional training so working with a qualified, positive trainer will be a bonus. Rusty will also need someone willing to continue his house training. Peeing and pooping where you sleep, for three years, is a hard habit to break. Rusty is doing so well and only marks occasionally now but we expect he will back slide, just a little, when he moves to his forever home so you'll need to be understanding.

Meet Cooper!He is a social, playful puppy who loves to play fetch with the shelter staff and volunteers! Cooper can be a bit shy with new people, but comes around with time. He's very touchy once he is comfortable, and he often sticks to the sides of staff members for head scratches while in the office! He enjoys walks and is easy to handle on a harness. Cooper also enjoys car rides, during which he is calm and well behaved!Cooper gets along great with other dogs, cats and children! Cooper does not jump up on strangers, but needs some work on his manners with familiar people. He has been groomed multiple times and is comfortable with the groomer touching everywhere except for under his chin, which is a bit more stressful for him.
