Story
Meet Milo 💙Milo is a 4‑year‑old Poodle mix (maybe a little Schnauzer in there too!) with the sweetest soul and one simple wish - to be loved.Sadly, Milo was surrendered to our care, and while change hasn't been easy for him, his gentle nature shines through. He's currently dealing with some significant skin issues, but the good news is we have a treatment plan in place and he is already on the road to recovery. Even better, our vet does not believe his skin concerns are food‑related.Milo is a very well‑behaved boy who enjoys his walks, though he can pull on leash at times - nothing that patience, consistency, and a little training can't fix. He's eager to please and absolutely trainable with the right person by his side. While Milo hasn't yet been introduced to other dogs in care, he has shown no reactivity and takes new situations in stride. What he truly loves most is human attention - kind words, gentle affection, and the reassurance that he's safe.Because his skin treatment is ongoing, Milo will be placed in a Foster‑to‑Adopt home, where we will continue to support his medical care while he settles into family life. This arrangement allows Milo to heal in comfort while building the bonds that will help him thrive. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a soft heart and a hopeful spirit, Milo may be the perfect addition to your family.💙 Please fill out a pre‑adoption questionnaire if you think Milo could be your match. He's ready to start his next chapter - could it be with you? Primary Color: Black Brown Age: 4yrs 0mths 0wks

Story
Hola!!! Hello. My name is Gretal and you can find info about me below.Age: 7 monthGender: femaleWeight : 3 kgCountry of origin: MexicoHighlights: playful, curious, eager to learn I'm a tiny playful girl looking for a home with a tiny spot to fill in your heart. My brother Hansel and I, tiny and young as we are, were left together abandoned in a box. We were left in a gas station parking lot. Any number of horrible things could have happened to us. Thankfully, we were discovered by a rescue that took us in, where we are safe and looked after. We are hoping to come to Canada and find a home where we can grow up safe & happy. I do not need a yard but would be a bonus, I can live in an apartment. Please be patient and caring as I learn to walk on leash.I'm thinking how wonderful it would be if we each got a home and didn't live terribly far apart, where we can have family playdates. Oh, that would be wonderful if we could still visit each other. Perhaps you might like both of us? A discounted on the fee would apply, if so.You'll find I get along well with everyone 4 legged or 2 legged. I also ride well in cars.We are both hoping to find our "happily ever after". Energy : moderate, but I'm still a pupI get along with :Dogs: yes Cats : yesMen, women, and kids: yes Training:Leash skills: very little. Please be prepared to train me.House trained: in progress. Please help me continue to learn.Fears: none observed. Just need gentle introduction. Please be patient assisting me in my transition. Health issues:I have been spayed/neutered and vaccinated. LAL will pay for a microchip with one of our vets. I have also been dewormed and have healthy teeth. My adoption fee is 850.00 plus tax. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Leishmania, Heartworm, Ehrlichia, & Anaplasma, as well as Giardia, Parvo, Corona & Distemper. ##2609228##
