Story
Katniss is a catch for anyone who knows and loves terriers. She is 2 years old and weighs 42 lbs. She has been DNA-tested and is predominantly Schnauzer (aussie is the other part). She is smart. She is independent. And she hasn't seen a squirrel or bird she does not want to hunt - hence the name Katniss! after all, terriers are gonna terrier! She's going to need plenty of mental and physical exercise. She's young and she's in great shape so plenty of cardio is a must. She's smart and she's independent so she needs a human companion who will take the time to build a relationship based on respect. If get to this level, her greatest motivation is praise. We have given her obedience training, and she flew right through those classes. There is no end to what she can learn. She's a gorgeous girl, and often seems to "prance," when she walks; but she can run and play with the boys, for sure. And when she's done with play, she's also got a super friendly side and will show you a glimpse of affection. If interested in adopting, our process begins with submission of our application. Please visit our website at www.adoptmebluegrasspetrescue.com and click on Katniss's picture in "Adoptable Dogs". Additional adoption FAQ's can be found here also. Meets will be set with approved applicants based on our "best family fit" approach. Thank you!
