Story
Meet Fozzie!  If you are looking for a small buddy who will love to follow you around, Fozzie is your puppy!  He has beautiful coloring...little brown bear.  It is amazing how fast his little tail will go!!  He is listening very well, he is not scared of any of the normal household noises and is listening very well to basic commands.  He is getting along great with my three dogs.  He is in love with my 50lb Australian Shepard!  He loves to play with my boys (19 & 17), he has not met a cat yet, however I have no doubt he will do just fine with any animal or human he meets! He loves to cuddle and to sleep with his people.  He will bark in his crate, but will settle in.   Fozzie will need the normal puppy training, he was neutered on February 12th, microchipped and up-to-date on his puppy shots.  He will only need his last round of puppy shots.    Fozzie is believed to be a Maltese/Yorkie/Chi mix and will be a small size dog full grown, currently 4.7 lbs, born on 10/26/2025.   If interested, please  complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Our $295 adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. Sweet momma, Utopia and her five day old pups were one day away from being euthanized in a small south Texas animal control. Momma was scared and protective of her babies for a few days before she realized they were safe. NOW she is THE sweetest and most loving girl!! She is doing good with potty training and is good with dogs and cats. She likes going for drives and walks good on a leash. She's got the cutest little tuft of fur on her head. She's smart and likes to play. Her puppies are cattle dog mix. They are playful and happy. They prefer playing with each other but like their stuffed animals. They are working on pee pad training. They are currently around five pounds, and almost ready for their families!! Mama is likely a long haired/wire haired dachshund and the pups have the low rider qualities with heeler markings- ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!! Any one of these pups or mama Utopia will make an awesome addition to your family... you have to take that first step... FILL OUT THE ADOPTION APPLICATION!! Hurry, this family is ready!!! Barney is a man of many names. He goes by Barney but he’s not purple dinosaur. He will also answer to Barnacle, Barnaby, or Barnabus. He will sit pretty for a treat and (if you look closely h resembles a Meercat!!) is learning not to mark his territory, which should improve since he’s been neutered. He gets along with all sized dogs and cats and does very well in the kennel. He loves going for a walk or for a ride in the car. He is a perfect companion! Adopt him soon!!
