Story
Bodie is joy with a furry exterior! He is extremely smart, loyal and affectionate. He loves being near his people and typically relaxes during the day after his morning walk (he is my husband’s office buddy). He loves training and is very food-motivated. He would do best in an active, adults-only home or with older, dog-experienced kids (12+). He’s high-energy, thrives on routine and structure, and needs both physical and mental activities—he typically gets 2-3 walks a day and enjoys “find it” games and puzzle toys. If his mental and physical needs are not met he will get into mischief. Bodie can be dog selective. He is friendly towards other dogs and enjoys play, but can be slow to warm-up. He would likely be happiest as the only dog or with a calm, confident dog and experienced owner. He takes meds for anxiety 2x/day.We know for both our daughter & Bodie’s well-being we need to find a home without young children that will provide Bodie with the calm, predictable environment he needs.
