Story
We are looking for a very specific home for our dog. Captain is an intelligent, affectionate, people-loving dog who bonds strongly with his family. He is very trainable, eager to work, and has great potential for structured activities- especially agility training. He is attentive, engaged, friendly, and a genuinely enjoyable companion.Captain has a history of three biting incidents involving children.-One incident involved a child walking past our home (with no interaction with Captain).-Two incidents involved children on swings.-None of the bites broke skin, but they were still bite incidents.Because of this history, we will not be placing Captain in a home with chilren, including visiting grandchildren or frequent child exposure.Captain is not a "problem dog." He is generally very friendly and does very well with adults, but has shown clear behavior around children. His new placement must reflect that.If I did not have children in my home, Captain would be my companion for life.
