Meet Cassius!You ever see something that's just so WEIRD that you're like, "I must protect this odd little creature at all costs"?Yeah. That's how we feel about Cassius.We don't know what Cassius is. The records he came with say "miniature Australian shepherd" but we're kind of feeling more Australian cattle dog/corgi, if we're being totally honest. He's corgi shaped with the coat of a cattle dog - that's all we know. He's about 7.5 years old and weighs a little over 30lbs.Cassius is a very sweet boy but he's a shy, sensitive soul. So far, he's been the kind of guy to hide or run away when he's uncomfortable rather than be defensive or even growl. Slow and steady will be the key with this guy - take it slow, win him over, and he'll love you forever AND reward you with showing you his silly goose side.10/10, worth it every time.He does warm up more quickly to women than men but don't fret, fellas. He'll get there eventually if you try hard enough.Cassius previously lived with other dogs without issue and has done very well with them here. Being with another dog may actually give him a bit more confidence. We haven't officially tested him with cats yet but we will be doing that in the coming days. We would prefer kids 12+ just because he is so shy at first and kids can be A LOT when you're already unsure and overwhelmed. He's FANTASTIC on a leash and will stay right by your side and if he gets distracted, it's very easy to regain his attention.
