My name is Wylie, and with my oversized ears, sleek tan coat, and bright, curious eyes, I often get mistaken for a little fox. But I promise—I'm all puppy, all sweetness, and all heart! I'm a young female Basenji blend, which means I'm smart, athletic, curious, and always ready for my next adventure. I'll stay on the smaller side when I'm all grown up, making me the perfect size for hiking, road trips, neighborhood walks, and snuggling up after a day of fun. I'm full of puppy energy and absolutely love exploring the world around me! Playing with other dogs is one of my favorite things, and I always seem to find something exciting to investigate. Every day is a brand-new adventure, and I'm ready for all of it! I'm a clever little girl who learns quickly and enjoys discovering new things. With positive training, fun adventures, and lots of love, I'll grow into an incredible lifelong companion. My favorite things include squeaky toys, zoomies around the yard, tasty treats, belly rubs, and curling up beside my favorite people when playtime is over. I'm looking for a family who will include me in their everyday life, continue teaching me all the important puppy skills, and give me the love and patience every young pup deserves. Meet Truffles -“The Ears Have It!” Few critters in the animal kingdom have ears that can move separately, up/down, folded, or crisscrossed. The magnificent Truffles is one of the few! This gorgeous, friendly, athletic gal is endowed with huge stick up bat signal ears. When not receiving transmissions, one or both of her giant receivers crisscross atop her head. She loves long walks on her leash, zooming, playing with balls & stuffies, tug-of-war and of course, cuddling. Truffles was born with a genetic condition called mega esophagus that requires a bit of extra time & special steps at meals. She has a custom chair that allows her to eat in an upright position. Truffles eagerly gets into her chair as she is quite food motivated. She sits in her chair for 15 -20 minutes after eating. She cannot have treats. And that is it! You might notice her throat moving like a bullfrog when she is sleeping, due to the enlarged esophagus, but that is nothing to worry about. She is intelligent, active, affectionate, and eager to please. She is ideal for an active family or individual. More Attributes! Tell me..... have you ever found yourself lost, hurt and starving??? I mean, it happens to the best of us right? Yes, it happened to me!! :( It was really scary! I was hiding behind a "fireworks" sign on the access road, big TRUCKS on my right side and the railroad tracks on my left! It was "ruff" but not so much anymore ;) I mean, this chick showed up with FOOD and a CAR and a LEASH and COMPASSION..... and she SAAAAVVVEEDDDD ME!! NOW, I have food every day, clean water, protection from the traffic and the weather and LOTS of friends!! I am living the rescue life....pretty soon the rescue peeps told me i will be living the ADOPTED LIFE :) I am a ruggedly handsome boy with an incurable positivity! I am POSITIVE you will see me and LOVE Me and ADOPT ME! So GET BUSY!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
