Story
Roxy is a gorgeous 48 lb girl that is as sweet as they come. We think she is mixed with part giraffe with how long her legs are! She could be a little gazelle; she is just as adorable as one. She is approximately 2 years old and was found in January of 2026 in a cemetery with about 12+ other dogs. She was fending for herself, finding food, water and shelter where and when she could. This awesome girl absolutely loves other dogs; big and small. She is currently being fostered in a sanctuary in south Texas, along the Texas/Mexico border. This amazing sanctuary is only a short term stop for this baby until their forever home is found. They are the ones who originally found her and got her to safety, before reaching out to us to help in placing their animals in the homes they deserve. She is a big cuddler, she just loves to next to her human and snuggling up wherever she can. This awesome girl absolutely loves other dogs; big and small. She is currently being fostered in a sanctuary in south Texas, along the Texas/Mexico border. This amazing sanctuary is only a short term stop for this baby until their forever home is found. What’s her favorite activities? She enjoys her toys and to chase the pigs on the farm around, but she is gentle with them! What’s her vibe? She is a loyal dog, a shadow. Roxy wants to be next to her human more often than not. Loyal to the bone. Crate trained? Yes, she is! How is she inside the house and when left alone? No issues when left alone. She is quiet and just chills. Prefers not to be crated. Kids? Great with well-behaved children What should any adopter know? She is a bit of an escape artist – she just loves to explore and go on adventures, on her own with other little mischievous doggy friends. She comes back immediately when called, but her favorite place to explore is the woods, which is right next to where we are. Ideal home? Around medium active would be good. A home with other dogs that she can play with and tire themselves out. Someone that can provide regular play time, exercise and training for an almost perfect little girl! This animal is fixed (spayed/neutered), heart worm positive (they have received the 30-day course of antibiotics and need to stay on heart worm prevention for 12-16 months and be retested then), current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. Story
Who can resist this curly-que tail and the perky floppy ears???? Little Percy was dumped at the county shelter with his litter at a very young age. Being more uncertain than the rest of his litter he was overlooked by potential adopters for almost 4 months until his foster mom said enough is enough and removed him from the stressful shelter environment. Percy's foster mom says "... he is learning about life outside the shelter and is turning out to be quite brave as time goes on. He is getting exposed to a lot of different people and situations. He has mastered the leash and been great with everyone. Loud noises would get him at first but that is going away now and he is turning into a great adventurer. He may be part rabbit the way he springs around on his walks! He loves helping with the farm chores now with the rest of the pack and is even starting to play with toys!" Percy is about 7 months old and 25 lbs, He will probably be 30 - 35lbs fully grown. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vetting, house trained and crate trained. If you would like to give this deserving boy his forever family, please email bigyellowgoose018@gmail.com for an application.
