Nala is a beautiful 4-year-old, 50-pound Basenji mix with a loving heart and a playful spirit. She is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Nala is being fostered in Seguin, Texas, and is available for adoption within Texas only.
Nala is kennel trained, potty trained, and settles quietly in her crate after a day filled with fun. She loves to play, enjoys burning off her energy, and would be thrilled to have another playful dog as a companion. She has previously lived successfully with cats and has done well sharing her home with feline friends.
Like many dogs who haven't always had an easy life, Nala is cautious when meeting new people. She needs a patient adopter who understands that trust isn't instant—it is earned through kindness, consistency, and time. Once you become part of her inner circle, Nala's loyalty is unmatched. She forms deep, lasting bonds and will be a devoted companion who loves with her whole heart.
Nala does have some resource-guarding tendencies with food and toys, so she will do best with an adopter who is experienced or willing to continue managing those behaviors appropriately.
Her ideal home is a quiet household with one or two adults who will allow her to settle in at her own pace. A confident, playful canine companion would be a wonderful bonus.
