Isadora is a stunning, three-year-old Tibetan Mastiff with the soul of a true guardian and the daily routine of a professional couch potato. If you are looking for a needy, velcro dog who demands constant attention, Isadora isn't your girl. However, if you appreciate the independent, majestic, and calm nature of livestock guardian breeds, she might just be your perfect match. Isadora is incredibly mellow and prefers to spend her days keeping to herself, contentedly snoozing on the plushiest dog beds she can find. She is wonderfully low-maintenance when it comes to affection, preferring to quietly coexist and watch over her peaceful kingdom. ​True to her breed, Isadora requires a very specific, low-stress environment to feel safe and successful. Because she finds the unpredictable energy and noise of children highly stressful, she is looking for a quiet, mature, adults-only sanctuary. She also possesses a very strong prey drive and a history with small animals, meaning her forever home must be entirely free of cats, small dogs, pocket pets, and livestock. Furthermore, Isadora does not do well with tight confinement or crates, which can trigger barrier frustration, so she needs a home where she can be trusted to roam freely in a calm, secure space. ​When it comes to other animals, Isadora is a bit of a snob and absolutely dislikes high-energy or bouncy dogs. However, she would thrive either as a solo queen of the castle or alongside one other companion, provided that dog is over 50 pounds and shares her calm, older, and deeply mellow vibe. She needs an experienced, savvy owner who understands guardian breed traits and will provide a quiet environment with minimal foot traffic. Once Isadora knows her boundaries are respected and she is given the time to decompress at her own pace, she is a beautifully stoic, easygoing companion who just wants to lounge the day away. ​If you have experience with guardian breeds, a quiet home with no kids or small pets, and an abundance of soft beds, Isadora is waiting for you.
