Meet Gerald. Yes. He absolutely looks like a Gerald. Gerald is a tiny senior spaniel mix whose vibe can best be described as “softly existing.” Around the kennel, staff lovingly refer to him as a semi-sentient stuffed animal. A question often asked is: “Does Gerald know he exists?” The jury is still out. Current evidence suggests… probably not. Gerald is sweet, calm, and extremely low-maintenance. Other dogs? He’s fine with them. Mostly because he doesn’t appear to notice them. What’s going on around him? Hard to say. We estimate he’s tuned into reality about 10% of the time, and honestly? That’s part of his charm. He doesn’t bark. He doesn’t demand. He doesn’t cause chaos. The only sound we’ve ever heard from Gerald is a very quiet, very pathetic little awoo that will somehow melt your heart immediately. You might even forget he’s there… until the awoo reminds you. Gerald would fit into just about any home. Couch, bed, dog bed, laundry pile — he’s flexible. He’s the kind of dog who will happily coexist with you, your routine, and your furniture, asking nothing more than love, comfort, and the occasional reminder that he is, in fact, alive. If you’re looking for a peaceful companion, a gentle soul, or a dog who brings absolutely zero drama and maximum “aww,” Gerald is ready to softly join your life.
