Story
Meet Fuchshia!
Fuchshia is a 12-year-old, 30-lb Tibetan Terrier mix whose favorite things are praise and cuddles, stuffed toys and being near her people. And food. She loves her treats!
Fuschia has the energy (and the shiny white teeth!) of a dog less than half her age. She just doesn’t have all of the extra work that a puppy requires. Fuchshia already knows where to go potty, and she already has great leash manners—unless she sees a squirrel. She loves people of all ages and genders, and gets along well with all other dogs too. She’s adapted well to living with three other dogs in foster care, and she even takes walks on a tandem leash without fuss. Fuchshia loves a good sniffing walk! She goes out eagerly for her walks, gets her business done right away and then enjoys a good mosey around to poke her nose wherever she smells something interesting.
Fuchsia’s superpowers are her ability to take every toy out of her toy box in a flash, her adaptability and her ability to melt you to her will with her big brown eyelinered eyes. If you’ve been looking for a new best friend who’s easygoing and low maintenance, Fuchshia could be the one for you.
Fuchshia is being fostered in Clark, NJ and her adoption fee is $400.
To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt
All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
