Story
Hi! My name is Honey! I am around 13 years old, up to date on vaccinations and preventatives, heart worm negative, microchipped, and looking for a family of my very own! My foster mom says I walk really well on a leash and enjoy meeting new people. I get along with dogs of all sizes, cats and even my foster mom's 2 year old active great grandson. I have been learning potty training but I also like using my potty pads especially when it's cold and rainy outside or if you go somewhere and you are gone too long. I've heard my foster mom say great things about me. Like - I'm a very sweet girl who rarely barks and I have no bad habits like puppies do. I enjoy nap time which is most of the day and I'm very quiet. I I enjoy sitting next to you on the couch as long as you pet me and tell me what a good girl I am. My foster moms picks me up a lot and loves on me and tells me that I'm a good girl and that she loves me. I'm learning how good it feels to be loved and cared for. My foster mom has been working with me to help me overcome my fears and I'm learning to trust. I recently got a dental cleaning but I only have a few teeth left now, so I like soft food and I'm not a picky eater. I enjoy all kinds of treats even if I'm afraid to take them from your hand. I walk kinda funny, like I'm bow legged. It's because my knees are in the wrong place. I've been that way since I was a pup so I'm use to it. I can still run and jump in my bed and ruff up my blanket just right. I can't wait to find my forever family who is looking for a girl just like me! If you think I would fit right in with your home and family, you can send inquiries to our director of adoptions at muttmisfitsadoptions@yahoo.com or apply to meet / adopt her at www.muttmisfits.com/adoption-application

Story
Meet our senior boy Morty! He is 12 years old, all of a foot tall, and weighs 22 pounds. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and preventatives, heart worm negative, and microchipped! This little shorty is blind, but that doesn't slow him down much at all! He gets around well and does great on a leash. He does need more vocal cues, but has adapted quite well. Most people that see him have no idea he can't see what's going on around him! He plays chase with this doggy friends and tries to herd his foster siblings. He's pretty entertaining! He does get daily drops in his eyes, but does really well having them administered. He's a pro at this point. Morty is house trained and doggy door trained. Like some male dogs, he may mark a few spots when he first moves in to a new place, but doesn't have any issues with marking after that. He just wants everyone to know he belongs to the family now. He does get along with other dogs and cats, but he may become a little scared or defensive around doggos with big dog energy. He might not be able to see them, but he can sense the vibes. This cutie was found as a stray in October 2022, all alone out in the world, unsure why his people weren't with him anymore. Morty is a happy, fun guy who is looking for a forever family of his own, that he very much deserves! He knows there is someone out there for him that has big love for seniors. Story
Meet Scrappy! Scrappy is an adorable, happy and playful little fellow. He’s one to two years old and 16 1/2 pounds. His previous people had a DNA test done on him and he is about half Chihuahua, and then many, many other breeds, including Shitzu, miniature and standard poodle as well as pitbull terrier! Scrappy is doing very well at his foster home. He has many doggy friends, as well as children of all ages, pigs, and chickens to play with. Scrappy does well on a leash, but will need practice to make walks fun and exciting. He’s crate trained and has done great on his house training, including using Potty Pads. Scrappy had bloodwork at his vet visit, but his teeth were so perfect, he didn’t even need a dental cleaning! Do you think Scrappy is the guy for you? Please put in an application as soon as possible. Interested in becoming a forever home to Scrappy 23? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!
