Story
THEY DO NOT HAVE TO BE ADOPTED TOGETHER. Freddie and Chucky were found by a good samaritan in a box by some community mailboxes, right before Halloween. They were only 5-6 weeks old and could barely eat real food. After getting rid of all their fleas and a good meal of gruel, they began the road to a new life. It took some time to get rid of all the parasites they had inside of them, but we did not give up. Now, healthy and happy and ready to meet the world, Freddie and Chucky wait for you. They are super playful, affectionate active little boys. They love playing with other dogs and toys. Though they cannot leave until they are neutered, we are accepting applications on them. Please email us if interested.

Story
THEY DO NOT HAVE TO BE ADOPTED TOGETHER. These girls were surrendered by a good samaritan who rescued the Mom not knowing she was pregnant. They adopted out all but 2, Thelma and Louise. They lived in an apartment so the girls did not get much time outside until they arrived here. It took a few days for them to trust us. Now they love to run and play, and are very vocal about it. They were semi bonded but are now showing signs of being more independent and being on their own. They do have lots of energy too! They are not leash trained and will need to work on that, but if given a chance they would make great companions. If interested in meeting the girls please email us for an application.

Story
WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🐾 Meet Gordo: 8 Pounds of Loyalty, Cuddles and Endless Love 🐾 Gordo may only weigh 8 pounds, but this little Chihuahua mix is living proof that the best things really do come in small packages. At just 3 years old, he’s equal parts lap-warmer, Nyla bone enthusiast, lizard chaser, and full-time heart thief. He’s got a soft spot for the ladies—his ideal home is with a calm, loving woman who doesn’t mind having a pint-sized shadow follow her from room to room. (Gentlemen, don’t worry—he’ll accept you too, but he’s a mama’s boy at heart!) Because of his sensitive nature, Gordo would do best in a quieter home without kids, ideally with another small dog buddy to snuggle and catch some rays. 💊 Gordo is considered special needs. He has occasional seizures, but with his daily meds (Levetiracetam and Phenobarbital—about $50 every two months), they are being managed well. He’ll also need Midazolam on hand, just in case. The good news? He takes his meds like a champ, and he doesn’t let this slow him down from enjoying life’s simple pleasures. Some of Gordo’s favorite hobbies include: Curling up with his human like a living, breathing neck pillow 💤 Catching some rays - made so much better if he can curl up with a doggie sibling Begging shamelessly for watermelon 🍉 Sitting in your lap just to be as close as possible ❤️ Joining his small-dog pals in epic standoffs with the vacuum Gordo is house trained, crate trained (he happily hops in at mealtime), and ready for a forever home where he can feel safe, loved, and cherished. He may have been through a lot already, but Gordo’s heart is wide open and waiting. If you’re looking for a sweet, sensitive pup who will adore you endlessly (and maybe steal your watermelon), Gordo just might be your perfect match. Apply today at haydudeequine.org🐶💖
