You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please Note: This animal is listed as a courtesy to another organization or individual. Please be sure to contact the foster/caretaker for more information about him/her. '“Meet Glenda Mae! She is heartworm negative and around 45 lbs fully grown. Glenda was on the 'At Risk' list at her local shelter due to stress, but is doing great in her foster home!Glenda Mae always has a smile on her face and is a playful puppy at heart! She adores toys and loves to play tug-of-war and fetch! Her zoomies are the cutest thing you’ll ever see . She is medium-high energy, but she's been very content to spend most of the morning and afternoon napping while I work. She sleeps great in her kennel through the night and while I'm gone for the day without any fuss! She now walks great in her harness and hasn't had an accident in the house or her kennel since the first week I started fostering her. When we take her to our usual walking path, she isn’t reactive to dogs or people (though she likes to stare at them walking by ).She is wary of strangers and takes time to learn to trust them, but once she learns that you're her person she'll absolutely love you wholeheartedly. She'll become a total cuddle bug!Due to her wariness of strangers, she would do best in an adult-only home or a home with older children who can patiently work with her to build a trusting bond .Glenda is vaccinated, spayed, and ready to find her forever home! We would love to find an adopter or foster home ASAP due to the upcoming change in work schedule during the holidays. Please reach out to a.k.candia98@gmail.com for any questions about this girl.''Rehoming fee appliesVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 30, 2025, 10:48 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please understand that we get many applications for our available dogs. We review each application and do our absolute best in choosing a home that best suits each dog and his/her needs and personality. Hi!  I’m Rose but my foster Mom also calls me Rosie, Rosie Posie, Rosemarie and other silly things. My favorite things are soft beds, yummy food, treats and other dogs.  I like being out in the yard in the sun sniffing things and exploring. I’m usually very quiet but if my siblings start barking I will follow along. I don’t like storms and really loud noises…..it makes me nervous. I didn’t have a very good start in life and remembering it makes me sad so Foster Mom will explain.   Rose was a puppy mill Mom who was being disposed of because she was not “useful”anymore. Most likely because she developed a mammary tumor. Our vet removed it with great margins and she remains cancer free. She was terrified of people (who can blame her) and she did not understand stairs or outside or grass. Her comfort was found in dogs and that is still her comfort space. Rose has made great progress while in foster care but she still has fears of people. She will willingly take a treat from my hand and sleeps in bed with me but prefers to be as far away as possible.  She has learned to go upstairs but still will not go down. Part of the hesitation could be because her front legs are slightly shorter than her back legs and I believe she is afraid she will fall forward but she does need more training steps and leash work.  The ideal home for Rose is someone who understands and is patient with her fears and has the time and patience to continue to work with her.  Another dog in the household would be great but not a must. While a fence would be great it’s not a must as long as the forever home understands that she must be kept in a secure harness and collar on leash while outside. And of course prior experience with puppy mill dogs is a plus.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 29, 2025, 4:52 pm
