Story
A 10-month-old Treeing Walker Coonhound mix, Journee’s name came from the English word for “journey,” or a trip of some kind. This name suits her well because her life so far has been a journey, the destination being a loving forever home. Journee’s foster saw her in the kill shelter, pulled her out, and brought her home and into rescue. She was 5 months old then, about 10 months old now, and in the 5 months since her rescue, she has grown almost to her full size of 55 pounds. Her short coat is tricolor, but mostly white, and her eyes big and brown and hopeful. She loves children, other dogs, and even cats. Being adopted would mean the end of her journey because she would have found you WAITING FOR HER at home. (TN,7/30/24) (REVISED 12/10/23)  **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption Fee/Transport Fee: $250.00  We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip . We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs.  May 2, 2024, 8:34 pm

Story
Meet Sage, 💚 the lovable 4-year-old shepherd/basset hound mix who adores everything life has to offer! Sage is a delightful companion who thrives on love and attention. Her affectionate nature extends to children and other dogs, making her the perfect addition to a family looking for a furry friend to share their adventures with. However, Sage's enthusiasm for cats means she's best suited for a home without feline friends, as she tends to get a bit too excited around them. Sage's heart is as big as can be, weighing in at just 40 pounds of pure love. Sadly, Sage's previous owner is now in a nursing home, leaving her in need of a new loving family to call her own. If you're searching for a devoted companion who will bring endless joy and laughter into your life, look no further than Sage! If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.cognitoforms.com/DixieGirl1/PetAdoptionApplicationForm2 Most of our are pets are fostered in Southern foster homes and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Story
Meet Tallulah, a 4-month-old beagle mix, who was rescued as a tiny puppy from a drainage ditch. Her 15-pound beagle-mix mama led rescuers to her five puppies shortly after they were born. Now, at a little more than 4 months old, Tallulah has already surpassed her tiny mama in weight. Weighing in at 20 lbs currently, we think she’ll be a nice medium size when full grown, possibly 40-50 lbs. Tallulah is the sweetest girl who loves to snuggle up with her puppy siblings and her humans. She’s currently a little shy, especially around new dogs, but she’s starting to come out of her shell as she’s exploring the world of her new foster home and meeting the other dogs there. Her new parents will have to understand that Tallulah still has a lot to learn and experience to become a more confident dog. But she’s well on her way, and her sweet disposition, quiet demeanor and medium size should make her an overall easy dog.  Her foster mom hopes her new home will have the time to devote to making her the best dog she can be with daily exercise and lots of love and attention.
