Cal is just a wonderful fellow. He is very responsive and wants to please. He gets along with other dogs and loves to play. He is around 3 yrs old and is a chunky monkey at 45lbs. He is up to date on shots. He has a beautiful face with wide spaced eyes. A true pleasure to have as a companion. Mindy is a Beagle mix who is spayed and up to date on shots. She weighs 30lbs and is super intelligent. She could probably play chess if she had thumbs! She's about 18 months old. She is an alpha female but does get along with other dogs. She's ok on the leash and is crate trained. She would make a great addition to any household. Well hey there, friend. Name’s Boy — simple, sure, but it’s served me just fine these 13 years I’ve been wanderin’ this world.I’m a Basset Hound/St. Bernard mix, which means I’ve got the long, low charm of a Basset and the big, soft heart of a Saint. Folks say I’m a “unique-looking gentleman,” and I reckon that’s true — you don’t see many like me moseyin’ around these days. I’m a 97-pound old-timer who really oughta be closer to 62, but bless my heart, I’ve never been one to turn down a good meal. We’re workin’ on it.Now, don’t let this gray muzzle fool ya — I’m still sharp as a tack. I remember everything, and I mean everything. I know how to sit, stay, and if you’re lucky, I’ll even give you a high five with my big ol’ paw. I walk real polite on a leash, and I’m housetrained like the gentleman I am.What I love most in this life is bein’ close to my people. I’m affectionate in that slow, steady, dependable way — the kind of dog who’ll rest his big head on your knee when you’ve had a long day, or lean in real gentle just to remind you you’re not alone. And if you ever need a little help or a moment of comfort, well… I’m known to lend a paw when needed.I do have some severe allergies, so I’ll need my daily meds to stay comfortable and healthy. But keep me on those, give me a soft place to nap, and maybe a little ear scratchin’, and I’ll be your loyal ol’ companion through thick and thin.If you’re lookin’ for wisdom, warmth, and a whole lotta love wrapped up in one low-ridin’ senior gentleman… well darlin’, I just might be your Boy. 🧡🐾****************All animals at HSO are current on their vaccinations and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
