Treeing Walker Coonhound puppies and dogs in Manteca, California

Meet Cammie! After being one of the longest residents at Manteca Animal Shelter, an amazing foster stepped up and welcomed her to a new temporary home. She is very sweet but has to warm up when first meeting new people. Cammie can be playful with cats but as long as you tell her gentle she mostly knows to be careful. She loves to follow you everywhere and be wherever you are. She is very curious and wants to know what you’re doing or where you’re going. She sleeps right by our bed or in her dog bed. Really tends to gravitate towards women and likes men but takes a little more warming up for men than women. She loves to play and loves to be outside and looking and being curious everywhere. She would do really well with someone who can give her lots of love and play and just a little bit of time and patience to warm up to you. But once she does boy she’s a really awesome dog. Cammie has met dogs and cats. She does well with cats but is timid and shy with new dogs and takes a moment to warm up. Cammie has not met children but is suspected to do fine. Cammie is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and chipped. All Better World Rescue dogs come with complimentary group and private training to help ensure a successful adoption. If your interested in meeting Cammie please fill out an application and a BWR volunteer will reach out. betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application

Peanut Butter is ready to find her forever family! * Peanut Butter is one of four adorable sisters—Honey, Toast, and Jelly—who are searching for loving homes of their own. Born on **02/28/26**, she currently weighs about **23 pounds** and is quite the unique mix! According to DNA testing, her dad is a blend of Chihuahua, Treeing Walker Coonhound, Dachshund, and Pekingese, while her mom is a German Shepherd/Husky mix. Peanut Butter's story is also a reminder of why spaying and neutering pets is so important. Like all puppies, Peanut Butter will need continued guidance, patience, and training as she grows. She will need leash training once fully vaccinated and ongoing socialization to help her become the best dog she can be. She has already been treated for fleas and worms and is scheduled to be spayed. If you're looking for a loyal friend to share life's adventures, Peanut Butter may be the perfect match. Gentle, sweet, quiet, and playful, Cassie is quite the delightful package. She's a wonderful houseguest in her foster home, with impeccable potty manners and a bark that's reserved for only the rarest of occasions. Fully house-trained, she knows how to use the doggy door, settles beautifully in her crate, and sleeps soundly through the night without a peep. Cassie absolutely loves other dogs and gets along with pups of all shapes and sizes. To her, no dog is a stranger—she's quick to make new friends and wants everyone to be her best buddy. She's the life of the pawty, happily inviting her canine companions to play, romp, and wrestle. She's also wonderful with kids and is always ready to soak up pets, hugs, and affection from her humans. This loving girl never says no to belly rubs or scratches, and she takes treats ever so gently! Cassie enjoys exploring the neighborhood and would benefit from continued leash training as she builds her confidence. With her affectionate personality, easygoing nature, and love for both people and dogs, she'd make a wonderful addition to just about any home. If you’re interested in meeting Cassie, fill out our adoption application at Lucky Dog Rescue | Adoption Application.
