Meet Mable, a female, 6.5-year-old,Treeing Walker Coonhound mix. She is a bit overweight at 81 pounds.Mable arrived at the shelter as an owner surrender. This good-natured pup is the full package! She loves to use her hound nose to explore and discover new things, but she also enjoys relaxing and snoring the days away. According to her previous owner, Mable is house trained and crate trained. She also knows sit, down, beg, shake, stay, come, leave it, kennel/crate, off, and go potty.Mable will need an indoor home and a secure containment area to stay safe from wandering and escaping (she is a Coonhound, after all!). Positive reinforcement, fear-free training will be needed. Daily exercise and mental enrichment will be very important. If you have other dogs in your home, we would be happy to arrange a meet and greet with your dog(s) to make sure everyone gets along. We do not know how she will do with cats.Mable is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, spayed, and ready to go home today.The shelter is currently open by appointment only.
