Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out of state adoptions. Marvelous Miss Maybelle is looking for her forever home! She’s a super sweet Treeing Walker Coonhound who is about 7 years old and weighs 58lbs. Nothing will stop this playful, energetic, silly girl from doing zoomies and enjoying her playtime. This girl is very curious about the world outside, and she's definitely interested in squirrels and other critters; as we would expect from a hound. She is nervous around gunfire, so hunting is not a good pastime for her. When she can’t be playing outside, she loves to hang out with you, or on a favorite soft bed. Maybelle loves a good nap, and her foster mom thinks her soft snoring is adorable! This pretty girl is housebroken and settles down nicely on a doggy bed at night, but she’ll happily nap on your bed or the couch during the day if allowed. She really loves to cuddle on the couch with you, and she will insist you love on her by gently nudging your hand or laying her head in your lap, which her foster mom also loves. Maybelle likes stuffed toys and balls, and would be great with dog-savvy kids or other dogs who want to romp and play at her new home. Maybelle hasn't met any cats in her foster home but was polite to a cat in the vet's office. Maybelle takes a bit to warm up to new places and people; but what you get in return is so worth the wait. Once she feels safe, Maybelle is very affectionate and wants lots of pets and belly rubs. If you are interested in adopting Miss Maybelle and giving her the couch of her dreams, contact us today!   Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $160. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. June 2, 2023, 12:06 pm

Story
We are hoping to find a loving home for our sweet snuggle bug, Murphy. We are pregnant with our first kid, and kids are Murphy's nemeses. Murphy is a 5yo Hound-Pit mix. We rescued him at 15wks old. He's a snuggly, food-motivated, smart pup (very trainable; E-collar trained). He vigilantly guards the house from the dangers of vicious mail people and the random passerby, but is terrified of fire alarms and recycling trucks. His crate is his safe space (crate trained). He IS a counter surfer, but so are we. The secret to us all behaving is keeping the food out of sight and out of mind. He has great energy (excellent hiking and running buddy; loves water), but can also sleep in with you (it's 10am and we can hear him snoring loudly down the hall). He snoozes all day when we WFH. We leave him home with free range; he's never destructive. He does great at doggie daycare, and he plays well with most other dogs.
