Story
Mia the Kitty is around 16 or 17 years old, but her vet thinks she probably has a few good years left in her, as she still has a at least a little spunk. She's a tuxedo black and white kitty with mixed pink and black toe beans (so cute!). We have to get rid of her because my husband has developed allergies and I have a number of difficult health issues that cause fatigue and pain, making continuing to care for her near impossible. She's a great cat and deserves better care than we can currently give. She doesn’t have a mean bone in her body! She does have a number of typical senior cat health issues (mild chronic kidney disease, arthritis, hyperthyroidism, chronic constipation) but they are all pretty well managed with her medication regiment. She is on quite a few meds but is such a trooper about her meds and medical stuff. She's always been a really happy-go-lucky cat and pretty docile and go-with-the-flow. She's a beautiful, sociable, smart cat and enjoys being around people.

Story
Hi! I’m Fred. I’m about 5 months old and sleek and handsome in my solid black coat. I can be a little shy at first, but once I warm up, my playful side really shines! I love jumping and leaping after wand toys! I enjoy being pet too, and but I have to get to know you before I really get comfortable.I’m a curious kitty and very playful, and I love having a feline friend to wrestle and zoom around with. I need a family where I have a kitty buddy. I would do best with a friendly, confident kitty who enjoys playtime and people. If you’re looking for a dynamic duo, my brother Fifer and I make a great pair — we keep each other entertained and happy.I’m curious about dogs. They aren’t my favorite, but I like to watch them, and as long as they’re calm and don’t chase me, I do just fine with them. I might even like them, but I’ll need time. I could be okay with kids, especially older kids who will be patient and gentle with me. I can get scared, so slow movements and a little time to get to know you go a long way!I’m neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and a litter box expert.Come meet me in Broomfield!Adoption fee: $200. Snacks welcome! Children 12 and over. DOB 7/7/2025. foster: niwa  Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives! $300 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes.  These 'guardian kittens' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes.  These 'guardian cats' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for kittens (6 months & under)    $125 for cats (older than 6 months)    $75 for senior cats (8 years or older) If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application  here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email cats@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
