Story
Mae is a Courtesy Listing and is not housed at the Animal Shelter. Please note that the City of Bloomington Animal Care & Control accepts no responsibility for this pet. Potential adopters are responsible for communicating directly with the pet's guardian. Mae is lovely cat that lets her needs be known. Whether she is hungry, thirsty or ready to play she will let you know. She loves meeting new people and does great with kids although she hasn't been around kids younger than 3 since we've had her. She hasn't been around other animals as she is the only one in the home. We need to rehome our sweet Mae because we found out that there are allergies in the house and nothing we do seems to help subside the symptoms. If you are interested in Mae, please text: 812-606-0399. ***Please ignore the Apply to Adopt button for this pet & contact the owner directly***

Story
Icarus may be a bit of an older lady but she will fool you with her random zoomies and curious nature. Although she likes to play and investigate, she loves to settle down and snuggle. When she snuggles, she often perches on your leg similar to a gargoyle. She loves to look out windows and watch the birds and people walking by. We believe she is mostly deaf but she still likes to chat with you and let you know how her day has been. This petite little lady would love to have a place to retire with someone who loves to play a bit and snuggle a lot.

Story
From Foster: She came to us traumatized. She preferred to stare at a wall corner hidden under a bed. It has taken us months to have her trust humans. She still has a ways to go. With the right humans who love a little challenge she will become a cuddle bunny in time. She needs in a home with No small kids, No dogs. She does not like being picked up. I have been working with her to slowly be held and have been increasing the time of being held. She no longer tries to scratch me, she will just growl to signal please let me down. CeCe, enjoys walking down stairs laying on top of the coffee table or cat tree looking out at the world. (Upstairs she loves going on top of the cat tree looking outside.) Every morning she will go into the kitchen and meow until she receives her breakfast. (Her plate has to be away from all other animals-she is fearful of sharing it.) She loves to lick up the gravy/juice first out of her plate, while purring. She will then meow again wanting someone to pet her, then walk to one of her claimed spots to nap. She has a beautiful long full coat of hair. She is becoming more and more used to it being brushed. If she has had enough or wants left alone she will growl to signal you to stop. I try to brush her every other day just to get her to understand I am her to help her not hurt her. On the days she is craving attention, she will follow me around the apartment. ( It is easy to shut her in the bathroom if you do not know she followed you into it.) If I sit on the floor she will come and lay beside me and let me pet her without any difficulty. She loves feather cat toys and the colored tin foil balls. We use the feather toy to get her to move around the apartment rooms/ furniture to gain her confidence. I have my son sit on the floor and try to sue the cat feather to get her to climb into his lap, we have been successful a few times.
