Story
Meet Indie & Irie  Bonded Brothers Seeking Their Forever Lap! Indie and Irie are two gorgeous senior gentlemen (about 13 years young) who have spent their entire lives together and with one very devoted human who cherished them. Sadly, their person passed away and these sweet boys suddenly found themselves confused and heartbroken in a shelter kennel. After a lifetime of love, stability, and endless cuddles, all they want now is a calm, quiet home where they can spend their golden years being spoiled exactly the way they’re used to. These brothers are the definition of “velcro kitties.” The moment you sit down, expect two warm, purring bodies to materialize in your lap, on your chest, or draped across your shoulders like living scarves. Indie (the sleek black-and-white) is the official Head Biscuit-Maker; he will knead enthusiastically while gazing into your eyes as if you hung the moon. Irie (the mostly white chap) is the professional snuggler; he prefers to wedge himself under your chin or burrow into the crook of your arm and stay there for hours. They are delightfully demanding about affection: a polite (or sometimes not-so-polite) paw on your hand means “Excuse me, the petting has stopped and this is unacceptable.” They still enjoy gentle play with feather toys and will happily chase a laser pointer for exactly three minutes before deciding a nap sounds better. They’ve lived indoors their whole lives, are litter-box trained, and have perfect manners with their scratching post. Indie and Irie have known too much loss in a short time. They sleep curled around each other every night and look for their person in every new face. Because they are a true bonded pair, we will only adopt them together; splitting them up would be heartbreaking for both. If you have a quiet home, a warm lap that’s often unoccupied, and a heart big enough for double the love (and double the floof), Indie and Irie would like to schedule an immediate interview. They promise to repay you with endless head boops, thunderous purrs, and the kind of devoted companionship only senior kitties can give. Come meet them. They’ve been waiting their whole lives for someone like you, again. Story
Queenie – The Regal Little Panther Who Knows Exactly Who She Is Queenie is a stunning beauty with a coat that drinks in the light and the calmest, most self-possessed energy you’ll ever meet in a cat. She doesn’t demand the throne; she simply walks in, sits down, and everyone quietly agrees the throne was waiting for her all along. She’s playful on her own terms: a surprise pounce on a crinkle ball, a graceful leap after a feather wand, then a dignified “I meant to do that” tail swish when she’s done. No frantic zoomies here—just elegant bursts of athleticism followed by a serene wash on the nearest sunbeam. Petting? An honor she grants readily. Queenie greets trusted hands with slow blinks and a low, rolling purr that sounds like distant thunder. Stroke her cheeks and she’ll tilt her head so you get the perfect angle. She’s one of those rare cats who enjoys being admired from every side. Picking her up? Yes, and she actually relaxes into it. She’ll settle against your chest, one paw lightly resting on your shoulder like she’s overseeing her new kingdom from the highest vantage point. No stiffness, no protest—just quiet trust. Queenie currently shares her suite with handsome Armani and the two get along beautifully (polite grooming, side-by-side napping, zero drama), but she’s also curious about the other cats she hears through the doors. She’s the type who adapts easily and would be equally happy as your one-and-only princess or as a gracious addition to a multi-cat household. If you’re looking for a cat who combines soft affection with quiet confidence—who will accept your worship without ever being demanding—Queenie is ready to claim her forever castle. All she asks is a sunny windowsill, a few well-chosen toys, and a human worthy of her gentle head boops. Come meet Queenie. Royalty has arrived, and she’s choosing her new court. Visitors to the shelter are by appointment only and after a form has been submitted online:  https://www.marshmallowfoundation.org/forms/  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 30, 2026, 10:57 am
