Story
Meet Jazzy! Jazzy is a Turkish Angora. Her eyes are the yellow-green variety, not blue. Jazzy is deaf which is extremely common in white cats. Jazzy has been adopted before, but the homes were not a good fit for her. Jazzy has FLUTD (urinary disease), but does not have any issues in any of the foster homes she's lived in. Her adoptive homes were quiet single cat homes. So here's what we know Jazzy needs to thrive and not have any problems with her urinary tract: -BUSY. She wants several cat brothers and sisters to keep her company or she gets depressed. -Wet food EVERYDAY. This is non negotiable. Her FLUTD is not to the level of needing a veterinary diet, just regular canned food will do. She prefers cheaper varieties. Lol. Those are the only changes we know in foster care vs the regular homes where she's had issues. If you're a crazy cat lady looking to add another cat who gets along great with other cats, Jazz is your girl. Kittens under 6 months' adoption fee is $110. Adult cats over 6 months' adoption fee is $85. The adoption package on all of our cats includes all of their initial vetting (FVRCP Vaccine(s), Rabies Vaccine(unless deemed too small by vaccinating vet), spay/neuter, FIV/FELV testing (heartworm testing where applicable only available at certain clinics), and microchipping. Also included is age appropriate dewormer and flea/tick preventative. All cats come with a 7-day health guarantee (must be redeemed at Pet Station in Union, MO). We DO NOT allow our cats to be declawed or outside.

Story
Lionel is a very sweet little boy. He has preliminary tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) and will need to be retested in six (6) months. Cats with FIV can live with other cats as long as all animals in the home are fixed. FIV FACTS- What is FIV? FIV stands for feline immunodeficiency virus. This virus compromises a cat's immune system, meaning it's easier for them to get sick and harder for them to fight off illness. It only affects cats (it can't be spread to people, dogs, or other types of pets). How do cats get FIV? FIV is spread through deep, penetrating bite wounds inflicted during serious fighting. It is not spread through casual contact such as shared food/water/litter, mutual grooming, or playing. Kittens may test positive due to maternal antibodies (rather than infection), but they will almost certainly test negative after 6 months of age. Can FIV+ cats live with negative cats? Yes! As long as the cats get along and don't fight, there is very little risk of transmission. Spaying or neutering decreases the risk of fighting, and introducing cats slowly helps them get along. How long do FIV+ cats live? Studies show that most FIV+ cats live normal lifespans and remain healthy. This doesn't mean they will never get sick, but with proper care, chances of illness are greatly reduced. Oral issues are the most common, but not all FIV+ cats experience them. Do FIV+ cats require special care? They have the same basic needs as any other cat: high quality nutrition, a clean, stress-free, strictly indoor environment, regular veterinary visits (two times per year to monitor for illness), and lots of love. Please consider opening up your heart and home to an FIV+ cat!
