Story
Rocky is a handsome male senior kitty (perhaps 10-12 years old) who was brought to the HSOV on October 19, 2025 by a Good Samaritan who found him on Fourth Street in Marietta Ohio. That kind individual had kept him safe for about a month. Rocky was not wearing a collar, and he was not microchipped. Rocky has a gray medium-haired coat, white paws, a long tail, and an adorable face with golden eyes, a dusting of white on his muzzle, and long white whiskers. Rocky has a sweet, easygoing personality and just 'goes with the flow'. Rocky gets along with other cats, and he loves his people friends. Rocky was a little under-the-weather when he entered our shelter and our HSOV Feline Kennel Techs quickly started him on antibiotics to help him feel better. Rocky was given first vaccines on October 19, 2025. He weighed 7.8 lbs that day. Rocky was given booster vaccines on November 6th. Thanks to Mercy Now Veterinary Care (Dr. Mills) for taking good care of Rocky on October 29, 2025 when it was discovered that this older gentleman had some dental issues. Rocky had three teeth extracted that day and a dental cleaning, so we know he feels much better now! These photos were taken on January 13, 2026 while Rocky was enjoying an afternoon nap on a comfy plush kitty bed. Rocky has already been neutered, so he could leave our shelter immediately with an approved HSOV adoption application.

Story
Angel & Daisy Mae are an adorable pair of 2-year old siblings who are among the longest-resident cats in our shelter. They arrived at HSOV on April 12, 2025 for a very sad reason because their beloved mistress had passed away, and they suddenly became homeless along with their handsome longhaired male kitty companion (Shadow) who is quite possibly their dad. Angel (male) has a brown short smooth coat in a spotted tabby pattern, a long tail, and an adorable face with golden eyes, a brown velvet nose, a splash of white on his muzzle/chin, and long white whiskers. Angel weighed 12 lbs when he entered our shelter. Angel was given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment on April 24, 2025. He was given booster vaccines on May 15, 2025. Daisy Mae (female) has a brown tabby longhaired coat, a long fluffy tail, and an adorable face with golden eyes, nice 'ear furnishings', a brown velvet nose, a splash of white on her muzzle/chin, and extra-long white whiskers. Daisy Mae weighed 8 lbs when she entered our shelter. Her longhaired coat gives her the appearance of being larger than she really is. Daisy Mae was given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment on April 24, 2025. She was given booster vaccines on May 15, 2025. Angel and Daisy Mae have lovable, rather demure, personalities. Their mistress' grandson (who brought them to our shelter) reported that they were ok with children and also with other cats. Angel and his best friend (Daisy Mae) are currently sharing a large tower in the lobby of our shelter, and they dearly love each other. We have listed Angel & Daisy Mae as a bonded pair since they depend upon each other for comfort/security, and we feel that it is in their best interest to find a home together. Angel has been neutered, and Daisy Mae has been spayed ... So they could leave our shelter immediately with an approved HSOV adoption application. Angel and Daisy Mae are also available for rescue. Rescue groups may contact our HSOV Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation. Note: Their companion Shadow was adopted on May 21, 2025 and has found a fabulous home.
