Story
Meet Kimiko!Kimiko is a 5-year-old female calico (Domestic Medium Hair) who was found as a stray in the city of Yakima. She’s still feeling a bit unsure with all the activity at the adoption center, but she has been gentle and easy to handle with YHS staff.Kimiko isn’t currently seeking out attention and prefers having a quiet place to observe from a safe distance. In a home environment, she will likely hide for a little while as she acclimates and would truly benefit from having a designated safe space where she can settle in at her own pace.Because she’s a sensitive soul, Kimiko would do best in a calm home without small, active children. With patience, understanding, and time, this sweet girl has the potential to blossom into a loving companion for someone who will let her move at her own comfort level. This pet is available for adoption at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. If you recognize this animal, please contact the adoption center at 509-457-6854.Ready to adopt? Great news—our spayed/neutered pets are available to go home the same day! Story
*The pets pictured in this posting are just ad pictures not available pets.*The Yakima Humane Society provides care for thousands of animals each year, some of which require time in foster care before they are ready to be adopted. Fostering a homeless pet is both a rewarding and enriching experience; it is also great for families or individuals who love animals but cannot commit to having a full-time companion animal. The care that dedicated Foster Care Families provide is invaluable, both to the animals fostered and the people that adopt them. You can foster as much or as little as you like, and we need foster homes for a wide variety of animals - kittens, puppies, cats, dogs, and an occasional small & furry animal! You can learn more about our foster program and fill out an application athttp://www.yakimahumane.org/get-involved/foster/.*The pets pictured in this posting are just ad pictures not available pets.*
