Story
Rehoming Luna is not a decision we are making lightly. We love her, but after a year+ of trying to help her coexist with our other cat, we believe she would be much happier as the only pet in a quiet home. Luna is a sensitive, easily frightened cat who can be very affectionate and sweet once she feels safe, but she needs someone who will respect her boundaries and let her decide when she wants interaction. She can be unpredictable with physical contact and may nip when uncomfortable. She is also fearful of strangers and has scratched when frightened, so she would do best in a calm, child-free home with someone experienced and patient with cats. She has significant stress related litter box issues when exposed to our other cat. We have tried separate rooms, separate resources, calming diffusers, scent swapping, gradual visual introductions, and medication. Luna deserves a home where she can feel safe and relaxed, and we want to do everything we can to find that for her.
