Hi there… my name is Baked Potato. I know it’s a funny name, but honestly it fits me pretty well. I’m soft, warm, comforting, and once you get to know me, I’m the kind of little soul that just makes you feel better. I’m about 9 years old, a handsome Turkish Van mix, and I’ve been through a bit of a rough patch in life before finding my way to safety. When I first arrived at the DCAS, I wasn’t feeling very good at all. They helped me get through being pretty sick but I needed more medical help than they could give me there, so the kind people at Whiskers brought me into their program. Since then, I’ve had a full mouth extraction to get rid of my painful teeth, a polyp removed from my ear, cytology and senior bloodwork. I have a little scar on my eye from an old injury. It might make me look a little different, but I promise it doesn’t stop me from loving life now that I finally feel better. The truth is, I’m just really grateful to be safe. I love gentle pets, soft places to rest, and people who talk to me sweetly. I’ve discovered that being loved is actually pretty wonderful, and I’m hoping my human is out there waiting to spoil me the way every good comfort food deserves. If you’re looking for a cozy little companion who will bring warmth, sweetness, and a lot of heart into your life… I think we might be perfect for each other. 🖤🤍🐾

MEET BIG BOY 👦 Big Boy is exactly what his name suggests, a big, handsome lovebug with an even bigger heart. This sweet guy absolutely adores his humans and is happiest curled up in bed next to you or soaking in the sunshine from his favorite window perch. He is a professional snuggler, expert bird watcher, and always ready for a good play session with wand toys or toy mice. Big Boy thrives in a calm home environment and forms very close bonds with his people. One of his cutest quirks is gently nibbling your fingers when he wants more pets and attention. He truly just wants to be loved and included in the daily routine of his home. While Big Boy does enjoy feline companionship, we have learned that he does best with confident male cat friends rather than female cats. Because of this, he is looking for a home without female kitties where everyone can feel comfortable and happy. He has also done well with cat-savvy dogs. Of course, any new friends requires a proper slow introduction! Big Boy would thrive in a quieter home where he can relax, snuggle, play, and enjoy all the cozy comforts life has to offer. Zoe is curious, affectionate, and has a playful personality. She loves TV, snuggles, catnip, and pouncing toys! Zoe is 19 months old. 6 months ago, Our family had a big move from California to Utah and it has been a rough adjustment on our poor kitty. She used to enjoy frolicking outside in the flowers, pouncing on butterflies, and snuggling with our daschund. She is a dear! We are looking for an experienced cat owner who can help Zoe find her joy again and overcome her over-grooming problem. She has a couple pink hot spots on her legs and has worn a cone for several months. We have tried many different remedies, and now believe Zoe is simply not compatible/happy with her new environment. We live in a basement with no outdoor access and big dogs upstairs that could do her harm and otherwise cause anxiety.
