Maya is currently in the Paws Behind Bars Prison Training Program where she is learning basic commands such as sit, down, stay, door control, leash walking, potty trianing, etc. She is a beautiful, female, Viszla mix who weighs in around 50 pounds and is about 3-4 years of age. She was found wandering in a cemetery and was picked up as a stray and unclaimed. Maya is very friendly, a tad shy at first meeting, but just a sweet personality that wants to please and would make a wonderful companion and walking/hiking/running partner! Maya interacts well with other dogs and her absolutely gorgeous marble-like brown eyes will draw you in! To meet her is to love her! April is a 1-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer mix weighing in at about 60 pounds ~ pure muscle, pure heart, and pure fun. She’s always up for a game of tug-of-war, and her toy collection is her pride and joy. April is both house-trained and crate-trained, and she’s a quick learner. She’d thrive in an active home with someone who understands high-energy breeds and can give her the physical and mental stimulation she craves. She’d also love a canine sibling to romp around with! However, April is not a fan of cats and definitely has her eye on the birds above ~ classic pointer instincts! One quirk to know: April is a bit of a fence climber.
