Rhett joined our family as a puppy when my friend received him as a gift. He will turn 5 in September. My daughter recently started walking, and it is hard to always keep an eye on her with medium-sized dogs around. Since I had been spending so much time with my daughter, it is starting to get to the point where my dogs aren't receiving the attention they deserve. My ideal home for Rhett would be somewhere where he is loved and appreciated. I would wish that whatever lucky family decides to adopt him would have a medium-large sized yard because he loves to run and play like any dog. I just desire him to receive the attention that I cannot provide him any longer. I would describe Rhett as an incredibly intelligent, agile, and emotional animal. He can tell when you are feeling off, and will try to comfort you in the ways he know he can. With the right family match, I know Rhett can live out the rest of his life as a healthy, smart, and loving animal.

I acquired Ellie in Kansas from a friend whose dog had recently had puppies. I decided to pick her out of the bunch because she had the most gentle nature and came and sat right next to me. She turned 4 on February 13th. Ellie has always been my best friend. I raised her as a puppy and was able to teach her a multitude of tricks because she is an incredibly intelligent animal. She is the type of dog that has always come to sit next to me when I'm feeling down. Due to that, I would describe her as being quite adept in terms of sensing and showing her own emotions. My daughter has recently reached the walking stage, and it is hard to justify keeping medium-large sized dogs around, especially because she doesn't get anywhere near the attention she deserves. I would hope that the family adopting her has a large yard for her to play in, and would welcome her as a smart, loving, and enjoyable friend to have.
