Story
We adopted Atlas as a companion for our other dog when we lived on 40 acres. Atlas was from a shelter and still under a year old. He was very skittish, did not like men, scared to go up to any new people etc. He's 4 years old now and mostly fully rehabilitated, although sometimes is still skittish. He loves pets and loves to lean on people :) Unfortunately we have moved away from that 40 acre property into an RV. He's a pretty decent sized dog and although we planned on moving into a house, my husband has not been getting paid for his government position so it's been a struggling carrying the cost of a large dog, and, as we both work full time, finding the time to give him the exercise he deserves has been hard. Atlas would benefit from a back yard space he can run around in and a 2nd dog to bond with. Atlas is goofy, affectionate, and loyal.

Story
Meet Anya, a shy girl that just needs some time to warm up to her new family. She came to us when her family fell on hard times and could not care for her properly. She has had alot of change so it is going to take some time for her to learn to trust her new people. She does have a tendancy to resource guard her food but that can be redirected easily. She walks well on a leash, and is potty trained. she lived with kids in her previous home but please bring the kiddos to meet her before we make this new thing official. She also likes other dogs and please bring your dog with you to meet her before you take her home. Anya does have some issues with her gait possibly due to a previous injury. Our medical team can go over any questions about this that you may have. She is truly a sweet girl and we would love her to go home for the holidays! You can contact my foster at (541) 805-0988 to meet me. Adopting with High Country Humane means your new pet is fixed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. We register that microchip (FREE!) and provide a free health exam with each adoption. Please bring a leash and collar for your new pet or plan to purchase a set at the shelter for $5 each. The shelter is open 11-5 PM, 7 days a week. We look forward to seeing you! Adoption special: ALL adult dogs $50 until 12/31!!!
