Meet Tazz — professional napper, part-time zoomie rocket, full-time cuddle bug 🐾
Tazz is a 2-year-old Chocolate Lab Weimaraner mix with a heart as soft as his favourite blanket. He stands about 20 inches at the shoulder and weighs around 60 pounds.
When meeting new people, Tazz can be a little shy at first, but he warms up quickly with a bit of patience. He is great with other dogs, when introduced appropriately and good with kids, approaching new friends with quiet curiosity. Cats are still an unknown, but with other animals he has been polite and observant. If things get a little loud or busy, he is happy to check back in with his person.
Tazz is a medium-energy boy who will need daily walks, playtime, and mental enrichment to help keep him happy and prevent boredom in the home. He enjoys getting out to explore and will do best with a family that can give him both physical activity and brain stimulation. Once he's had the appropriate exercise, he is more than happy to cuddle up on the couch with his people for a movie night.
On leash, Tazz may begin a walk a little unsure, but he quickly settles into curious explorer mode. He has recently started showing some excitement around other dogs and may pull toward them to say hello. At this stage, it appears to be friendly enthusiasm rather than anything negative, but he will need continued guidance to build polite leash manners.
At home, Tazz is a sweet and easy companion. He does very well in his kennel overnight, but daytime crating is something he is still working on. He is not especially fond of being crated during the day, so he would do best in a home where someone is around more often and can continue helping him build confidence and positive crate habits. Given the choice, Tazz would happily choose the couch, the bed, or any warm blanket-covered spot in the house.
