Story
Hello my name is Remi! I am 4 years old and my birthday is May 6th. My mom wants to find me a good home before she moves. I do have Addison’s Disease and need medication to be healthy. I take half a pill of Prednisone daily and get a shot of zycordal monthly. My mom spends around $50 a month on those. I have severe anxiety, but love my family. I need a caregiver who will be gentle and patient. I usually warm up to people like that and will do better adjusting. I’m more intimidated by men and prefer women, but can warm up to men if they really gentle parent me. Since I am a nervous dog, I bark and get scared around kids. I’m very food motivated with behavioral things. For the most part, I’m good about going potty outside, but will have accidents if not taken out regularly. My medicine makes me need to go more. I love all animals and get along well with them as long as they stay away from me while I eat. I don’t like sharing my food. I’m a very sweet dog if I feel loved and cared for.

Morgan is a lovely Weimaraner mix (DNA tested) that was found running stray with her sibling. While she can be a bit nervous, she is SUPER sweet and wants very much to love her humans. Morgan is looking for a home with at least one other dog - the more the merrier! She prefers to snuggle and play with her canine friends, but also loves walks and treats with the humans. Morgan is not cat, bird, or small critter friendly due to her hunting genetics.  Morgan is potty trained and prefers life without a crate once she is comfortable in your home. Story
Wallen (aka Bubby) was dumped along with his sister, Morgan, near the I-65/I-70 interchange in Indianapolis. It took a bit of effort but the duo was caught by the wonderful souls with Peaceful Souls. Not only did they bring them to safety, they also paid to board them for several months while they found a rescue to take them. We came across their story on Facebook in February and immediately felt that we needed to help them. Morgan was immediately happy to be friends but poor Wallen was quite terrified of all things human. For months, he spent his time rushing from crate to crate where he could safety hide from the world. After lots of exercise and many treats, we have finally gained Wallen's trust and he is just the sweetest, most gentle soul. He is still fearful of strangers but he no longer runs and hides when new people are around and you can tell that he wants to be friends. His favorite time is bedtime when he can get all of the snuggles and belly rubs. Wallen is a bit of a pack rat/hoarder and will fill his space with all of the "goodies" he can find.
