He thinks he is a lap dog and has no problem taking up all the room in bed. Of course, he must be covered up! He knows many commands; "sit," "shake," and "come" are some of his favorites. He is working on "stay." He loves food, so he will counter surf, but this just means he's very treat motivated and catches on quickly! He does not potty in the house. He does not pull on walks and does not bark (unless he hears our other dogs bark). He can jump gates and fences, this is not usually to escape, it is usually to come find his humans. He is easily redirected and will come when called. However, he does not like to be kenneled, he will bark and cry at the beginning but then settle down. If he is left to roam, he will go searching for food. He will also need a secure metal kennel if he is going to be kenneled during the day as he is smart and will unlatch plastic. I am sure with more time, he will learn that his humans will come back and he will always have food, so he doesn't need to be an escape artist! He has a very docile and calm demeanor, he truly is a dream! Mr. Boba has had some additional play dates with other dog friends. He does not mind being around them, but it may be best if he has other dog-siblings that are more laid back and not wanting to play. He would love even more to be an only dog. Although this is not a requirement, sometimes fast movements and high energy becomes too stressful for him.
