Story
Approx. DOB:  6/4/16               Approx. Weight: 16.5 Lbs Adoption Fee: $175 includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness! Wilson was released by a breeder.  He had some health issues when he first arrived.  He also had a rock in his stomach, which we removed. From what the veterinarian described to us is what Wilson has is comparable to a human that has asthma.  Potentially a low dose of steroids given daily, or every other day can help to keep his airways more clear.    Wilson is really outgoing and seems to be going thru a puppy phase.  He likes to nibble on your fingers or tug on your pant leg to get your attention. Wilson is really outgoing and loves people.  He is also fantastic with all other dogs.  So far we have learned he is more interested in the humans and all the attention he can get from them.  He does great in the crate and we are working on the housebreaking skills.  We use a belly band (which we will include in his adoption) to deter any possible accidents.  They are wonderful in helping with the house breaking.  Research them please,  they are so helpful.  I have been neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, dental cleaning and microchipped.  If you are interested in adopting me, please complete the adoption application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible.   Furry Kids' Refuge is in need of good quality dog and puppy food with meat as the first ingredient.  You can drop off donations at our weekly adoption events at the Lee's Summit Petco (1860 NW Chipman Road, Lee's Summit, MO), Saturdays only from 11am to 2:00 p.m.  Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.  Would you like to foster a Furry Kid? Furry Kids' Refuge will supply the food & vet care while you supply the basic house rules & love.......win-win for all!!  Just visit our website http://www.furrykidsrefuge.org/category/fostering/  for more information. Thanks for your support! Story
Banner is a 10 year old male, he wieghs 20 pounds and we believe him to be a Silky Terrier. He was found 8 years ago in Kansas City on Banister road with wire wrapped around his muzzle. My grandparents adopted him from KC Pet Project and when they passed away in 2018 my husband and I took him in. He is a loving, affectionate, rambunctious dog who will always be by your side. He is also fairly anxious due to his past. We recently had a baby and unfortunately due to him biting her we are unable to keep him. He needs a loving home with patient owners. He would do best with a fenced in yard, no kids, no cats and no dogs. He has been okay with our cats other than marking the litter box and he has been living with another senior dog and only ever showed aggression when there was food involved.
