Story
Bolt is a cute Westie mix who's about 4 years old and weighs 17 pounds. He suffered some trauma which caused a ruptured ear drum and a bad infection. Fortunately, that's all cleared up now, however whatever happened has caused Bolt to be very head-shy until he trusts you. Because of this, Bolt is a challenge to groom and will need a groomer who's experienced with difficult dogs; he may also need a sedative when going to the groomer. In general, he's a very sweet and loving dog who loves to snuggle and give doggie kisses. He's a super playful guy and will toss a bone around and keep himself entertained. So cute! He loves being pet and is fine being picked up. He's also good in the car, great on walks and friendly with everyone he meets. He loves his crate and doesn't mind being in there for a little while with a bone or stuffed toy to keep him busy. Bolt gets along well with other dogs, although he has an alpha personality and would prefer to be your only dog. He has some resource guarding issues, so we're recommending an adult-only home. Bolt is a smart and loving dog who needs someone who is patient and willing to give him some time to overcome his past. He's already come a long way and deserves a chance to be someone's beloved pet. If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Bolt, the first step is to submit an adoption application. Please go to our website www.k9bestfriendsforever.com and click on "Adopt" which will take you to our online application form.
