Soft-Coated Wheaten Terriers are friendly, affectionate, playful, intelligent, and energetic dogs. They tend to form strong bonds with their people and enjoy being involved in family life. They are terriers, however, and can be confident, curious, energetic, and occasionally stubborn. They benefit from consistent training, structure, and plenty of physical and mental enrichment. Wheatens are also known for their soft, continuously growing coats, which require regular brushing and professional grooming to keep them healthy and comfortable.
