Meet Kimber!
Kimber is a 1-year-old, 34-pound Wheaten Terrier mix with a whole lot of love to give. She's a bit shy at first, but once she warms up, you'll see just how sweet and gentle she really is. At night, she curls up happily in her crate with her blankets and her favorite stuffed animal, drifting off without a peep — no crying, no barking, just calm, contented sleep. She's fully potty trained too, and lets you know when she needs to go out by quietly sitting by the back door and waiting patiently.
Kimber has moderate energy and loves to stretch her legs outside, especially when she gets to run — and her recall is nothing short of amazing. She'd make a wonderful hiking or walking companion, sticking right by your side the whole way, and she walks nicely on a leash without pulling or lunging at people, cars, or bikes. Car rides don't faze her either; she just settles in calmly. But if you ask her, she'll tell you that being with her favorite humans is really all she needs to be happy.
She's got some adorable quirks that are sure to make you smile, like her love of "dancing" — she'll rise up on her hind legs, twirl around with her tail wagging a mile a minute, and happily ask for an encore. She's also got a funny habit of pausing at doorways and entryways, almost like she's waiting for permission before she walks through.
Kimber gets along beautifully with children, cats, and even chickens, and she does well with larger male dogs, though she prefers to steer clear of small dogs and other females. Loud noises can startle her a bit, but she's not a flight risk, and she isn't a chewer, doesn't suffer from separation anxiety, and has no resource guarding issues around food, toys, kids, or adults. She already knows "sit" and "shake," and is eager to learn more.
Quiet, gentle, and endlessly lovable, Kimber is looking for a patient family who can give her the time to build her confidence and the affection she so clearly wants to give back. If you're looking for a young, loyal companion who will dance her way into your heart, Kimber might just be the perfect match.
Kimber is vaccinated (needs 1 more DHLPP booster), spayed, microchipped, fecal tested and hw neg!
